Restoration of wetlands requires understanding of wetland hydrology, biogeochemical processes, decomposition, community habitat requirements and soil processes. Factors are discussed in an ecosystem context along with current restoration terchniques. Course utilizes newly constructed wetlands in Duke Forest to explore wetland restoration principles.
